"WITH.IN/OUT" is a looping video created using a 3d scan distorted, composed and rendered in Blender. Please be aware that there is strobe lighting used in case you are sensitive.

As the model rotates an interesting visual effect occurs giving a brief illusion of a face turning inside the head space. With this work I wanted to look at the relationship between the inner and outer life. How do we project ourselves outwardly into the world and how does this contrast with our inner selves? Sometimes we begin to identify more with our constructed image and completely neglect to look inwards. Outside influences of technology and media consumption change how we think and feel about ourselves and each other. Electronic devices are becoming more intrusive/integrated into our selves and the frontiers of the body and mind are quickly being eroded by external inputs. At the same time we are able to output our thoughts/ideas/creativity across the globe with the click of a button and overcome physical limitations with bionic extensions. Where does the body begin and end? Slowly the boundaries are being dissolved as digital reality becomes incarnate.
