"Intrusive Thoughts" was the second piece of artwork that I created to help promote the photogrammetry app display.land at the beginning of 2020, the first one being "Winter Dreams" which is also included in the Makersplace collection. Using a similar process in this work I combined modeling in VR using Gravity Sketch with the 3d scan of the figure from display.land. The final video render was done in Blender.
Sticking with the theme of inner thoughts and dreams I wanted to explore the darker side of mental health. "Intrusive Thoughts" is about the struggle people go through when constantly battling their own minds. Sometimes we can be our own worst enemies, our thoughts become needles and knives, wishing harm, producing feelings of worthlessness and despair. It is a terrible thing to be at war with yourself and almost impossible to simply snap out of it. At this time the world is full of people struggling to cope with these issues. It is important to know you are not alone.
